Best 13 Horror Box Art

With every horror game out there the box art is the first thing that stands out to us. It what gets our attention and draws us in. In celebration of Halloween I carefully sorted through all my horror games and chose the best 13 horror games.

Number 13
Emenium: The Ward

Just looking at this cover you question, what the hell am I looking at? Is it a face, a statue or some sort of ghost or demon?





Number 12

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

This yellow and black gives an eerie mixture especially with the man just lingering at the gate. As though he was some kind of serial killer, or a maniac drifter.

Curse: Eye of Isis

When I first saw this I thought, “Did someone push this guys face up against a Xerox machine?” But he is suffering from some sort of abuse.

Clive Barker’s Jericho

Well its face is only something his mother will love. Creepy, disfigured, and disturbingly gross.

Clock Tower

Just seeing giant bloody scissors lunging towards you with a shady faceless man holding them. It’s something that will spook anyone, even with the cartoonish look of it.

Condemned: Criminal Origins

A scared woman staring off into the distance, she looks like she sees something we can’t and is too scared to try and scream.

Ghosthunter

People actually consider this game to be horror, I am not one of them, I thought this game was kiddies and being rated T doesn’t help. But the spooky part of this cover is that damn ghost in the corner. He spooks the hell out of me and I don’t care what anyone says.

Resident Evil Director’s Cut

The original Resident Evil cover is pretty ridiculous as a beefy Chris holding a muscular gun to go with him. But this cover is creepy, as the first zombie you encounter in the game as looks over his shoulder at you. Proving that zombies are creepy.

The Suffering

What game cover isn’t complete with a Frankenstein monster being strapped to an execution chair and a man with needles for his eyes in the corner?

Resident Evil 3

Just looking into the eyes of a mutated Tyrant, let alone the main antagonist of the game staring at you.








Number 03
Silent Hill 3

Maybe I am being bias when I chose this one, but this cover really speaks to me. Girl in the corner with terror in her eyes, the background is nothing but rust and decay. Like it’s a sneak peak of her nightmares, which isn’t too far off from the story.

Resident Evil Remake

Worse fear of the Resident Evil series is being attacked by a zombie and losing. As strongly expressed with Jill Valentine trying to fight off a zombie but ends up getting pushed farther against the table.

Resident Evil Outbreak File 2

Just like Resident Evil Remake cover, this is actually THE cover of no hope. I mean the guy is pretty much just giving the gun to what looks to be Kevin. There is about three zombies holding this poor guy down, there is probably no way he is leaving that sewer alive.
